Job Title: Christmas Kettle Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Christmas Kettle Worker. As a representative of The Salvation Army, you will play a vital role in collecting donations from shoppers during the holiday season.

Job Summary:

Staff the Christmas kettles and receive donations from shoppers, interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report to work on a regular and punctual basis as scheduled at various locations, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Interact with others with courtesy and tact, receiving donations from shoppers.
  • Work under stressful conditions, responding to crisis situations in a calm and effective manner.
  • Handle cash in a secure fashion, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Talk and interact with co-workers, supervisors, shoppers.
Requirements:
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license (if needed)
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crouch, and/or crawl
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Use of vision
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying 25 pounds
Work Schedule:

Monday through Saturday, starting in November and ending on or about Christmas Eve.

Work Procedure:

It is necessary to subscribe to certain basic procedures to ensure the successful operation of The Salvation Army Kettle Program.

  6. I will represent The Salvation Army to the best of my ability.
  7. I will follow basic safety guidelines.
