Flight Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for administering flight instruction to university students, performing check rides, and instructing ground school as required.

• Administer flight instruction to university students, ensuring compliance with FAA prescribed guidelines.
• Perform check rides and evaluate student performance.
• Instruct ground school, covering topics such as aircraft systems, weather, and navigation.
• Administer FAA required ground tests to assess student knowledge.
• Schedule training, stage checks, and check rides to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Perform dispatching duties for daily flight operations, ensuring safe and efficient flight planning.
• Assist in promoting the department of aviation, developing new courses and syllabi, and helping with preventive maintenance of OU fleet aircraft.

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience.
• Ability to work with flight students one-on-one and in a classroom setting.
• FAA Certified Flight Instructor License.
• Must have and maintain FAA Class II medical.
• Valid driver's license.

• Able to administer flight instructions.
• Lift up to 45 lbs of weight.
