Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of school facilities. These duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining communications by meeting with supervisors and custodial staff, being accessible via District communication devices, updating Daily Custodial Communication Logs, and completing Daily Site Inspections.
  • Maintaining building safety by adhering to district safety guidelines and procedures, opening and closing facilities, checking boilers, participating in professional development, and ensuring emergency lights and exit lights are functioning properly.
  • Maintaining clean and safe classrooms, gyms, auditoriums, libraries, cafeterias, and public areas by following guidelines set forth in the Custodial Academy Procedure Book, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, removing scuffs and gum, buffing floors, wiping down surfaces, dusting, disinfecting, emptying trash and recycling containers, and stocking dispensers.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
