Job Title: Plant Manager

Stellar Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the fabrication team and ensure the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the fabrication team, including task assignments, staff training, and technical problem-solving.
  • Monitor and maintain facility compliance with city/state inspections and PM schedules.
  • Monitor shop personnel for manpower utilization and shop budgeting.
  • Manage labor performance relative to project budgets.
  • Collaborate with HR for shop personnel questions, disciplinary actions, and company violations.
  • Identify and implement improvement procedures and processes.
  • Coordinate facility visits, customer-related or otherwise.
  • Monitor overall shop security.
  • Create and manage project and sub-contractor schedules, coordinate shop floor activities, and monitor tool certifications/calibrations.
  • Implement and maintain Competent Persons training.
  • Coordinate quality checks.
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures and issue violations when necessary.
  • Promote a quality and safety culture for the fabrication workforce.
  • Ensure shipping schedules for all projects are met.
  • Seek to identify improved methods of production and safety and be proactive in implementation.
  • Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience managing or supervising production personnel.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Budgeting experience.
Work Environment:

This position operates out of a fabrication facility. The employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Travel:

Travel is primarily not required, with the exception of local travel during the business day.
