Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Nursing Surveyor. The successful candidate will lead, conduct, and participate in federal and state surveillance activities at hospitals, dialysis facilities, ambulatory surgery centers, clinics, and other acute care settings to determine compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Statements of Deficiency using Principles of Documentation
  • Review and approve Plans of Correction within required timeframes
  • Review facility policy and procedures for Certificate of Need
  • Conduct onsite pre-opening surveys for licensure
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State, as well as three years of post-licensure, specialized professional administrative or professional clinical experience. A bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience, and a master's degree in nursing may substitute for two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional experience as an RN in an acute care setting and familiarity with the hospital surveillance process and State and Federal Laws and Regulations are highly desirable. The candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent interpersonal, critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and be able to function independently and work as a member of a team.
