Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including intensive respiratory care and patient transport, as medically prescribed.
  • Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Explain treatment purposes and procedures to patients, providing necessary education upon discharge.
  • Operate various ventilatory equipment, oxygen, and aerosol devices to administer prescribed medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation.
  • Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and oximetry monitoring, adhering to policy guidelines.
  • Review patient chest x-rays to determine further evaluation needs.
  • Perform 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function studies.
  • Assist with procedures related to respiratory care, such as bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and arterial puncture.
Requirements
  • CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • State License-Respiratory Therapist-Ohio.
  • NBRC-RRT (Reg Respiratory Therapist) certification.
  • ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) certification.
  • Ability to lift 50-100lbs.
