About the Role

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. As an LPN, you will play a vital part in providing care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adults in our patient-centered care model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Provide appropriate information to assist the Registered Nurse in the preparation and maintenance of an effective patient care plan.
  • Reinforce instructions given to the patient by the physician and Registered Nurse and refers new needs for instruction to the Registered Nurse.
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients under the specific policies and procedures.
  • Take and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, weight, height, and prescription.
  • Take lab samples from patients, including blood and urine samples.

Requirements

  • Two (2) plus years' experience preferred
  • Current Florida LPN License
  • BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider)
