Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Tax Provision Calculations: Oversee the preparation of income tax provision calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and Review Tax Returns: Prepare and review federal consolidated returns, including workpapers, estimated payments, and extension calculations, as well as state and local income tax returns.
  • Coordinate Tax Audit Activity: Coordinate federal and state tax audit activity, addressing tax issues with business subsidiaries and implementing tax planning strategies.
  • Lead Tax Technology Implementation: Lead the implementation of new tax technology and tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Review Financial Statements: Review financial statements and validate adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage Tax Depreciation: Manage the computation and reporting of tax depreciation, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Partner with Tax Team: Partner with other members of the tax team and the corporate accounting team to manage intercompany transactions and transfer pricing processes.
  • Assist with Tax Due Diligence: Assist with tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
  • Support Budgeting and Planning: Assist with budgeting and planning process relating to taxes, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of corporate or public accounting experience, with experience in FAS109 income tax accounting.
  • Skills: Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax principles, including tax compliance, provision, planning, and reporting, as well as experience with tax compliance and provision software, tax data management, and analytical tools.
