Compensation: Competitive hourly rate


Job Overview:
The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling Digital Recorders and Relays utilized in the power industry. This role involves adhering to manual assembly processes while working with delicate components, ensuring compliance with ISO/UL manufacturing standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and solder small to very small, delicate assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Follow detailed instructions and work within an ISO 9001 environment, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Perform hand soldering on small components with precision.
  • Document work processes as necessary.

Qualifications and Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and patience when handling small, delicate components during lengthy assembly tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency for tasks such as opening procedures, printing travelers, and time entry.
  • Proficient in detailed manual soldering under a microscope.
  • Knowledge of safe handling of various chemicals, including solvents and adhesives.
  • Familiarity with small hand tools and their safe usage.

Special Requirements:

  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands:

  • Must have adequate sight and hearing to perform job functions effectively.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs may be required.
  • Must be able to perform work under a microscope for several hours daily.
