Crop Management:

  • Supervise the production of various crops including Paprika, Rosemary, and Carrots.
  • Implement conservation practices for sustainable farming.
  • Ensure proper crop rotation and planting schedules.
  • Engage with consultants and maintain licensure as a private applicator.

Industry Engagement:

  • Stay connected with the Chile industry and monitor market trends.
  • Develop relationships with buyers, growers, and processors.
  • Keep abreast of industry news and developments.

Collaboration with Breeding Teams:

  • Work closely with breeding groups and consultants to optimize planting and harvesting processes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or significant agricultural experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience in agricultural processing operations.
  • Multilingual capabilities are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with LEAN methodologies.

Equipment Proficiency:

  • Ability to operate and maintain various types of farm machinery.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including dusty areas.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to manage multiple farm locations.
