Psychiatrist - Corrections

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team in Mississippi. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients.

• Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of inmates referred by medical and clinical services staff.
• Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis, and treatment course.
• Provide psychiatric services for inpatients, assessment, diagnosis, staffing, treatment planning, and regular review of all inmates assigned.
• Provide psychiatric services for inmates who need to be transferred to Behavioral Health facilities, including workup and court hearing testimony.
• Act as regular Psychiatrist and participate in treatment programming and planning for the Behavioral Health Unit, including regular staffing and contact with Behavioral Health Unit staff and supervisor.

• Must be a graduate of medical school and have completed an appropriate psychiatric residency.
• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Mississippi and certified by the Office of Behavioral Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit.
• Current DEA number.
