Job Summary

The Early Head Start Home Visitor is a vital member of our team at Child, Inc., responsible for guiding and supporting parents in understanding their child's primary teacher and advocate role. This is achieved through regular home visits tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly home visits to provide individualized support to parents and enhance their parenting skills.
  • Facilitate bimonthly socializations to strengthen family relationships and promote a nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with parents to identify learning opportunities that foster their child's growth and development.
  • Work with children aged 0 to 3 years, utilizing Child, Inc.'s comprehensive components, including Health, Mental Health, Disabilities, and Family Engagement, as needed.

Requirements

  • Home-based CDA, associate degree, or higher in early childhood education, social work, family service credentials, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience working with children and families in an early childhood setting.
  • Head Start experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is desired.
  • A valid driver's license and insured automobile are required for travel and training purposes.
  • Candidates must pass all criminal history background checks.
