We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our faculty as an Open Rank Professor of Counseling and Supervision. This is a full-time, 10-month position that could be based out of our Lisle, Wheeling, or Chicago campuses.
Responsibilities- Teach a variety of courses within our CACREP-accredited Master of Science in Counseling Program, including courses in counseling theory and techniques, assessment and diagnosis, and internship/practicum/supervision.
- Engage in student advising and mentorship, program-level development and assessment, and college/university committee work.
- Maintain active membership and involvement with appropriate professional organizations.
- Advise and mentor students to guide them through the rigors of this work.
- Earned research or practitioner doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Counselor Education & Supervision required (preferably from a CACREP-accredited program).
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois or eligible to obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Commitment to experientially based education and ability to contribute to and work collaboratively as part of a diverse faculty and with a student body representing a broad range of cultures and identities.
