Position Details:
This role offers a guaranteed base salary along with a generous commission structure.
The Automotive Customer Service Specialist is dedicated to providing an exceptional member experience while facilitating the workflow of technicians.
The position involves actively listening and asking the right questions to ensure customer needs are met, all while upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
This includes delivering courteous service, clearly articulating services and charges, accurately completing timelines, and ensuring quality work.The Specialist is tasked with scheduling services, preparing estimates, ordering parts, and coordinating various service activities while managing promised timelines.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with members to identify their auto repair needs and exceed their expectations for outstanding customer service.
Ensure compliance with all necessary BAR requirements in the preparation and documentation of Repair Orders.
Source and estimate all required parts for vehicle repairs.
Recommend repairs that enhance safety and performance, helping customers prioritize based on safety, cost-effectiveness, and longevity.
Review all repairs conducted on vehicles at the point of sale, ensuring customers have a clear understanding of the services performed from the initial estimate to the final payment.
Perform minimal record-keeping and other administrative tasks necessary to support the business.Note:
Travel to various locations may be required as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills in the languages required for the role, as necessary for business.
Familiarity with shop management and/or estimating software.
Knowledge of parts sourcing and the use of online vendor catalogs.
Strong mathematical and computer skills, with experience in software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, browsers, and email.
Ability to work scheduled hours as required by business needs.
Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a preference for service advisor experience.
3-5 years of successful direct customer interaction, preferably in auto repair.
Automotive Service Excellence certification is preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
Standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and sitting for extended periods.
