Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients of all ages.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide respiratory care to patients in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest degree of quality care and safety for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including emergency room and outpatient therapy
  • Administer oxygen therapy with prescribed appliances, therapeutic treatments, and other appropriate respiratory care as prescribed
  • Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation, long-term, and transport
  • Endotracheal suctioning, airway management, and stabilization
  • Electrocardiograms, pulmonary function studies, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and scheduled C-Sections
  • Collaborate with other clinical services and participate in in-service education programs
Requirements:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current licensure in Massachusetts
  • Three years' practical experience in cardio-pulmonary capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility
