We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team at Dialysis Clinic, Inc. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our mission to prioritize individualized care for patients with chronic kidney disease.
Responsibilities- Participate in infection control and risk management activities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Guide new patients through a comprehensive 120-day education plan to ensure they receive the best possible care.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment, working under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Set up and break down dialysis blood systems for treatment, and insert and remove patient access needles as needed.
- Monitor patients during dialysis, documenting changes and informing the charge nurse of any concerns.
- Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight, and determine patient care priorities to organize workload effectively.
- Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights, and track inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Perform laboratory work as needed to support patient care.
- Paid 12-week training program with a preceptor to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
- Competitive pay range of $17-$23 per hour, depending on healthcare experience.
