Job Summary:
Cherrelyn Healthcare Center is seeking a skilled Nursing Staff Coordinator to join its team at its Littleton, Colorado facility. This full-time role requires scheduling and coordinating all nursing staffing in accordance with community and state/federal requirements, utilizing and maximizing the benefits of OnShift. The successful candidate will demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support through effective relationships, treat others with dignity and respect, and seek feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage nursing staff work schedules in accordance with established policies and procedures and to meet the minimum staffing ratios required by law.
- Adjust staff to meet the daily needs of the census, budget, and level of acuity.
- Assign staff to units depending on knowledge, experience, and ability.
- Review payroll punches to look for tardiness, inconsistencies, and errors. Report trends and need for follow-up to appropriate management staff.
- Prepare and provide staffing reports to State or Federal agencies as requested.
- Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the community.
- Utilize OnShift for scheduling and communicating with nursing staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience in the healthcare field, experience with nursing scheduling required.
- Experience with OnShift preferred (Training is available).
- Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in general office procedures.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, oral and written communication skills.
