KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct the planning, design, and implementation of testing strategies throughout the software development lifecycle, including acceptance, integration, end-to-end, regression, and performance/load testing.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, ensuring ongoing maintenance for all project-related testing.
  • Develop and sustain regression test suites with clear requirements traceability for both existing and newly developed products.
  • Collaborate with product teams, developers, and stakeholders to comprehend product requirements and guarantee comprehensive test coverage.
  • Monitor quality assurance metrics, including defect counts, test results, and overall test status.
  • Document issues clearly and concisely, tracking them through to resolution.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for defects and customer support challenges.
  • Manage resource planning for test deliverables and maintain testing environments and associated data.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing cycles by providing necessary training, documentation, and planning support.
  • Conduct Verification and Validation of products developed by external teams.
  • Aim to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all products, offering insights during the early stages of product ideation and discovery.
  • Engage in mentoring and training new team members.
  • Create high-quality documentation to support the QA team and broader technology initiatives, including SOPs, release notes, and process documentation.
  • Actively participate in team ceremonies and collaborative meetings, such as daily standups and discovery calls.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience in testing integrated applications.
  • Proficiency in API testing.
  • Strong background in backend testing.
  • Experience in mobile optimization testing.
  • Robust ad-hoc testing experience.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira Service Management and Confluence.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience with Verification and Validation for contracted development.
  • Test automation experience.
  • Salesforce QA experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • Preferred focus on QA in healthcare technology.
  • Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB or CSTE, are desirable.
  • Agile certifications, such as Certified Scrum Master, are a plus but not mandatory.
