Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse will direct and guide patient teaching and activities that commensurate with their education and demonstrated competencies.
Responsibilities:- Assess the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients in the Health Care Unit and, as necessary, in the housing units.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs in collaboration with the Health Care Practitioner and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and perform EKGs using proper techniques and procedures.
- Assist the Health Care Practitioner in medical or minor surgical procedures as necessary.
- Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans through proper techniques and procedures.
- Document nursing encounters using the SOAP form of charting.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
- CPR certification.
