Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a State and Local Tax Services Professional. As a member of our team, you will work with large and small companies in various industries, developing strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate state and local tax services with existing clients to identify opportunities for improvement and provide enhanced tax planning and research support.
  • Develop a deep understanding of state and local tax regulations and accounting pronouncements to provide expert guidance to clients.
  • Review clients' current tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide recommendations for enhancements to improve procedures and reduce tax exposure.
  • Work with clients' information technology personnel to obtain data for historical purchasing and sales to analyze for reporting requirements, audit procedures, and review for potential refund or credits.
  • Assist clients with evaluating sales/use tax software systems that meet their compliance needs and support the implementation process.
Requirements
  • 90 credit hours completed towards a B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university.
  • Accounting major with a strong understanding of tax principles and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
