Staff Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Psychologist to join our team at the University of Georgia. As a key member of our Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team, you will provide primary, secondary, and tertiary services to eligible members of the UGA community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical evaluation and counseling/psychotherapy to groups, couples, and individuals, including crisis counseling and consultation.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Supervise new staff members and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the growth and development of CAPS trainees.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA-approved program.
- Experience in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with diverse backgrounds and psychological needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knowledge of electronic health records and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
We welcome applicants with:
- Full independent licensure in the State of Georgia.
- Experience working in a college counseling center or multidisciplinary setting.
- Training and experience working with underserved populations.
- Skills in providing telehealth services and presenting concerns typically seen at a university counseling service.
