Therapeutic Intervention Specialist

In this dynamic role, you will provide therapeutic intervention to remediate speech language disorders in preschool and school-aged students. As a key member of the Richmond County School System, you will ensure full access to regular education curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Screen, evaluate, and provide speech language therapy for students with speech language impairments.
* Identify students with educationally significant speech and language disorders through comprehensive evaluations.
* Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teachers, and parents through the Response to Intervention (RTI) process to provide interventions and guidance.
* Administer screenings in the area of speech-language and prepare accurate reports within designated timelines.
* Develop goals and objectives for education-based speech-language therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs.
* Monitor and report student progress to students, teachers, parents, and members of RTI or IEP teams, maintaining confidentiality standards and completing necessary paperwork for Medicaid billing.
Work Environment:
* Moderate noise level in the work environment, occasional lifting and/or movement of up to 25 pounds.
* Regularly required to talk and hear, frequently required to walk, stand, and sit.
