Role Summary:
The selected candidate will collaborate with investment teams to ensure that financing strategies align with overall investment objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a variety of credit products and leverage structures in a dynamic and supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structure, execute, and manage the risks associated with financing transactions that are secured by credit assets, including corporate bonds, leveraged loans, asset-backed securities, and private credit.
- Oversee and enhance the financing portfolio, focusing on margin management and leverage facility oversight.
- Establish and nurture relationships with funding sources, such as investment banks and non-bank lenders.
- Analyze market dynamics to identify opportunities for leveraging capacity beyond traditional banking avenues.
- Develop and implement efficient financing processes in both public and private credit markets.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Tax, throughout the financing product development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a financial institution or investment firm.
- Proficiency in financing arrangements and credit underwriting, including repurchase agreements, margin loans, credit lines, total return swaps, and securitizations.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining financial models and forecasts.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in financial markets.
- Experience managing the complete financing product lifecycle is advantageous.
- A background in credit analysis or quantitative investment analysis is beneficial, though not mandatory.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $135,000 to $175,000 annually
- Additional Benefits: Year-end bonus (guaranteed for the first year), medical and prescription drug coverage, 401k matching, wellness reimbursement, family-building benefits, and a charitable gift matching program.
