The Truck Weighing Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the entire process of vehicle weighing operations. Responsibilities encompass weighing vehicles, documenting all data in a digital weighing system, generating reports, and maintaining records. It is essential to ensure precise and thorough documentation of all scale transactions for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Review documentation and loads for vehicles entering and exiting the facility. Input all relevant information into the computer system.
- Prepare daily reports and maintain logs, spreadsheets, and other required documentation.
- Monitor and record vehicle gross, tare, and net weights accurately.
- Execute additional related tasks as required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory; an Associate's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of four years of experience with computerized scale systems and related software.
- Familiarity and experience with computerized scale systems and similar software.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Physical:
- Continuous sitting, seeing, hearing, and smelling.
- Regular problem-solving, oral/written communication, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Frequent eye/hand coordination, typing, handling, and wrist movements.
- Occasional bending, reaching, stretching, standing, and walking.
- Environmental:
- Constant exposure to dust, smoke, fumes, odors, and noise.
- Occasional exposure to grease, oil, chemicals, and wet conditions.
- Work is conducted indoors, primarily in an office setting.
