Storytelling Journalist

We are looking for a seasoned Storytelling Journalist to join our team at American City Business Journals. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality stories that captivate and inform our audience.

This is a full-time position that requires strong storytelling skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with our editors to develop and execute story ideas, conduct research and interviews, and write engaging articles that meet our high standards.

• Develop and pitch story ideas to our editors and contribute to our editorial calendar.
• Conduct thorough research and interviews to gather information and insights for your stories.
• Write compelling and well-researched articles that meet our quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with our design and photography teams to create visually appealing stories.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and news to ensure our content remains relevant and timely.

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in journalism or a related field.
• Proven track record of writing high-quality articles that engage and inform audiences.
• Strong research and interviewing skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with multimedia storytelling principles and best practices.
• Proficient in MS Office products and web-based communication platforms.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
