Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and integrating various systems within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of system-level knowledge, advanced signal generation and presentation, and experience working across multi-disciplined groups of engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with various trades and designs for developmental programs within the HWIL organization.
  • Perform system integration activities within HWIL facilities to support system signal presentation.
  • Lead troubleshooting and failure investigation activities within HWIL facilities.
  • Assist in generating requirements, statements of work, and verification plans to support HWIL design activities.
  • Participate on HWIL engineering teams performing test system design, assembly, and integration activities on developmental programs.
  • Work in a team environment in HWIL facilities supporting the full lifecycle of system development and sustainment activities.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Integration experience including hardware, software, and/or firmware.
  • Experience with schematic capture software (i.e., Mentor, CREO, or others).
  • Active and transferrable US government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.
  • Existing SSBI clearance.
  • Experience with electronics design and/or experience conducting data analysis.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
  • Knowledge of networking and IP-addressed-based equipment.
  • Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work and interface with a cross-discipline team.
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance.
  • Familiar with various communication interfaces such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN, 1553.
  • Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages; scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl, and MATLAB scripts for data analysis purposes.
