Substance Abuse Counselor II

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a qualified Substance Abuse Counselor II to join our team at the Walker-Sayle Unit in Breckenridge, Texas.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to provide counseling services to offenders with histories of chemical use, abuse, or addiction. As a Substance Abuse Counselor II, you will assist in planning chemical dependency counseling programs and coordinate the delivery of counseling services.

• Assist in planning chemical dependency counseling programs
• Coordinate the delivery of counseling services to offenders
• Provide comprehensive evaluations to assess recovery needs and re-offense risk
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans
• Provide counseling and recovery skills training
• Maintain offender records and statistical feedback

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent
• Two years of full-time experience in substance abuse treatment or education
• Current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP)
• Valid driver's license in the state of Texas
