Position Summary:

The Equipment Operator - Pressure Washer is tasked with the operation of various cleaning machinery, including pressure washers, industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, and sweepers, to ensure effective completion of assigned duties.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely lift and carry loads up to 40lbs, adhering to OSHA lifting guidelines.
  • Efficiently load and unload equipment from vehicles for transportation.
  • Operate heavy machinery with care, ensuring safe driving and maneuvering.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment performance as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Maintain a schedule for Preventative Maintenance and inform supervisors of any issues or upcoming due dates.
  • Provide detailed reports on equipment problems, including usage history.
  • Clean and maintain equipment after each use, properly disposing of waste.
  • Perform minor repairs when required.
  • Stay focused and aware of surroundings, managing distractions effectively.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Meet strict deadlines and adapt to varying work conditions.

Qualifications:
  • Driver's License Required
  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year in a similar role
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment safety protocols.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for operating machinery controls.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
  • Capacity to remain stationary for extended periods while operating machinery.
  • Problem-solving skills for diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Effective oral communication skills for collaboration with team members.
  • Basic writing skills for accurate report completion.
  • Good driving history reflecting safe driving habits.
  • Ability to obtain Forklift Certification.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Capability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed.
