Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist Specialist to join our team at TURBOCAM. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our 5-axis mill machines, as well as supporting various production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain 5-axis milling machines to produce high-precision components.
- Inspect finished tools and analyze inspection results to ensure conformity.
- Perform basic TruePath operations and consult with supervisors and tooling departments as needed.
- Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects.
- Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervisors.
- Inspect and document all operations in accordance with the Quality Manual.
- Perform daily maintenance on machines, including oil and coolant level checks and filtration system maintenance.
- Support overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associates degree in machining or approved apprenticeship program preferred.
- 2 or more years' experience as a CNC Mill operator and/or Lathe operator, including basic set-up.
- Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel, and ERP software preferred (Epicor helpful).
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5.
- Experience with basic blueprint reading.
