Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist Specialist to join our team at TURBOCAM. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our 5-axis mill machines, as well as supporting various production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain 5-axis milling machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Inspect finished tools and analyze inspection results to ensure conformity.
  • Perform basic TruePath operations and consult with supervisors and tooling departments as needed.
  • Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in specified projects.
  • Monitor machine performance and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Inspect and document all operations in accordance with the Quality Manual.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines, including oil and coolant level checks and filtration system maintenance.
  • Support overall shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associates degree in machining or approved apprenticeship program preferred.
  • 2 or more years' experience as a CNC Mill operator and/or Lathe operator, including basic set-up.
  • Intermediate level in MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel, and ERP software preferred (Epicor helpful).
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5.
  • Experience with basic blueprint reading.
