Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse I is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the 4 North General Medical/Telemetry unit. This role requires a strong understanding of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial models, and clinical pathways. The ideal candidate will have effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to organize and prioritize work in an efficient manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to care for patients, assessing, organizing, and completing patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
  • Document steps of the nursing process, utilizing proper medical terminology.
  • Address problems and progress toward goals, facilitating patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate, supporting unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities.
Requirements:
  • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
  • 0-6 months related experience.
  • Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
Working Relationship:

The Clinical Nurse I will work directly with patients and/or customers, as well as with other healthcare professionals and staff. This role requires frequent interaction with individuals at the Director level or above.
