Estate Specialist/Tax Accountant

IDR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Estate Specialist/Tax Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for preparing Federal and State fiduciary income tax and gift returns, handling trust accountings, and preparing tax returns for foundations. Your expertise in tax laws and regulations will be essential in staying up-to-date on changes and developments in the field.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Prepare Federal and State fiduciary income tax and gift returns
* Handle trust accountings, including conservatorship and estate accountings, for submission to the relevant court
* Prepare tax returns for foundations, such as 990PFs, and manage the application process for exemption recognition (Form 1023)
* Stay updated on changes and developments in tax laws
* Prepare probate documents and related paperwork

**Required Skills:**

* Experience filing 1041 forms
* Experience using a Documentation Management System
* Excel
* Prior experience in a client-facing role
* CPA is preferred
