Job Title: Senior Travel TechnicianJob Summary:

Deutsche Windtechnik, a leading provider of wind turbine maintenance services, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Travel Technician to join our team. As a Senior Travel Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and retrofit activities on wind turbines. You will work independently and lead a team of technicians, providing technical direction and guidance. Your excellent leadership skills, advanced technical knowledge, and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Lead large corrective teams with the replacement of major turbine components, such as generators, main shafts, and gearboxes.
  • Monitor and inspect work to ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, upgrades performed, and component replacements.
  • Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing on-the-job training, technical support, and performance feedback.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Wind Turbine Technician, with construction or repower experience a plus.
  • Valid driver's license (NON-CDL or CDL).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, given proper instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a collaborative attitude.
