Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Compounding/Mixer to join our team at Unilever's Waterbury factory. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing various functions in the ice cream production process, ensuring safe operation of machinery, and producing high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ice cream production process steps from receiving materials to shipping finished product.
  • Set up and changeover equipment for flavor production.
  • Operate as a business unit, understanding quality, cost, downtime, safety, and efficiency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning-in-place (CIP) as part of standard process.
  • Use automated computer systems to manage quality, efficiency, and downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and fix equipment and quality-related process problems.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized process area.
  • Lead projects and document results.
Requirements
  • Experience with mix/production equipment, material handling, shipping/receiving, and forklift operation.
  • Experience using computer systems, solving mathematical problems, and implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Basic knowledge and experience with mechanical and electronic control.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and grow with the plant.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and teach, learn, and coach others.
