POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Dietary Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering food services to our residents in a warm and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to portion control guidelines.
- Set up and clean dining areas, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for residents.
- Serve meals and beverages according to resident preferences and dietary needs.
- Practice safe food handling techniques and maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Support dishwashing and kitchen cleaning tasks to uphold a sanitary environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in food service preferred. A compassionate attitude towards the elderly and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
- Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position with day shifts available. A flexible schedule may be required to meet the needs of our residents.
