Job Summary

As an Office Operations Assistant in the Pediatric Neurosurgery department, you will provide administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting. This role requires a high level of customer service and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for greeting patients, checking them in and out, and obtaining necessary documentation. You will also be responsible for verifying and entering demographic information, obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations, and completing medical record release requests and scheduling patient appointments. Additionally, you will be responsible for entering, reviewing, and submitting charges for patient procedures and services daily, collecting co-payments, and reconciling all daily reports and deposits for accuracy. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.
  • Greet patients and visitors, check patients in and out, and obtain necessary documentation.
  • Verify and enter demographic information, obtain and verify insurance authorizations, and complete medical record release requests and schedules patient appointments.
  • Enter, review, and submit charges for patient procedures and services daily, collect co-payments, and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
  • Provide general office and clerical support to assigned area.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note:
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
