Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of students. Your responsibilities will include evaluating health care needs, administering immunizations and medications, maintaining accurate records, and educating students on personal hygiene and total health care. You will also work closely with physicians, parents, and other staff members to provide comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate health care needs of students and refer to appropriate specialists when necessary
  • Administer immunizations and maintain records as deemed necessary by the school physician and in compliance with State laws
  • Administer medications and maintain records, including dosages and untoward effects
  • Provide education on personal hygiene and total health care to students
  • Make medical appointments and assist with doctor's clinics
  • Keep current medical records on each student and conduct routine surveys and annual screenings
  • Communicate student health care needs to instructional and residence hall staff
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in the State of Arizona
  • Evidence of completion of a physical assessment skills course
  • Eligible for Arizona School Nurse Certification and current CPR Certification
  • Ability to pass FBI and State background check or Fingerprint Clearance Card as position requires by policy or Statute
