Job Summary:

The Toddler Teacher will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Toddler Program under the direction of the director of the Childcare Center. This role involves ensuring compliance with Community Care Licensing, Title 22 Regulations, and all requirements pertaining to health, safety standards, and emergency procedures of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates all aspects of the Toddler Classroom, including planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum for children ages 18-36 months.
  • Supervises and provides feedback to teacher aides and classroom volunteers.
  • Participates in professional growth activities throughout the year, both self-initiated and Director initiated.
  • Researches, creates, and implements age-appropriate principles, practices, and curriculum for children ages 18-36 months.
  • Completes daily lesson plans and updates lessons depending on specific goals for children in their care.

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
  • Minimum 6 completed core semester units of early childhood education/development and enrolled in at least 2 semester units at a college until fully qualified.
  • DOJ and FBI Fingerprint Clearance, 8 hours of Preventative Health and Safety Training within 3 months of hire.
