Job Summary

Mead Lumber Company is seeking an experienced Class A Driver to join our team. As a Class A Driver, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles for the safe and timely delivery of finished goods and materials to customer job sites. This is a critical role that requires a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 based on industry standards and location.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record, strong knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures, excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds), self-motivated, reliable, and punctual. Additionally, you should be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to operate company vehicles safely and efficiently. You will also be responsible for unloading materials, verifying delivery items, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Some additional responsibilities include:

• Verifying the accuracy of delivery items and ensuring all materials are accounted for and in good condition.
• Responsible for accuracy of loads and must get all loads verified by yard manager for accuracy prior to leaving yard.
• Safely drive trucks and forklifts obeying all traffic laws, wear seatbelt at all times while driving a company truck or forklift.
• Follow all yard loading and delivery, and yard security.
• When not driving, assist with loading materials in the yard and helping customers with their product needs.
• Capable of navigating digital platforms to include uploading pictures, E-Logs, Online platforms as directed.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer problems.
• Ability to follow all CDL requirements as outlined by the DOT.
• Ability to haul oversized loads.
