The HCA Nurse Residency Program at Fairview Park Hospital provides advanced clinical training in a specialty area, preceptorship training with a facility preceptor, and collaborative work on an evidence-based practice project. As a Registered Nurse Resident, you'll be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

You'll assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. You'll perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), document administration of care in the patient medical record, and respond promptly to patient requests. You'll also teach patients, families, and caregivers about their medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $65,000 per year, based on the location and job requirements.
