We are seeking a Land Surveyor / Surveying Technician for a pivotal role within our organization. Ideal candidates will possess robust technical skills and a keen interest in land development and infrastructure initiatives.
The Land Surveyor / Surveying Technician will primarily operate in an office environment, working under the guidance of the Field Work Supervisor and the office Survey Manager. This role encompasses a diverse array of land development and public infrastructure projects, including residential, commercial, institutional, mixed-use developments, and public works.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Land Surveyor / Surveying Technician include:
- Interpreting civil improvement and grading plans to prepare and assess construction staking calculations.
- Creating survey documents to facilitate field survey operations, including control surveys, topographic surveys, aerial surveys, and boundary surveys.
- Engaging with clients, contractors, project superintendents, and field survey personnel, as well as in-house engineering teams.
- Processing field survey data to ensure quality assurance and quality control checks.
- Developing exhibits for engineering and surveying staff based on collected field survey data.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in utilizing and learning technical software such as AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, Blue Beam, Microsoft Suite, and advanced field surveying equipment software.
