Bindery Specialist

Autokiniton is seeking a highly skilled Production Technician to join our Bindery Operations team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating complex bindery machines to produce high-quality finished products.

• Set up and operate bindery machines to produce a range of standard and specialized folds, collations, and cuts of printed materials.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Direct crew members through all aspects of production, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
• Monitor quality, output, and productivity, making adjustments as needed to meet production goals.
• Read and interpret written work orders and job specifications to determine machine operations and dimensional accuracy requirements.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and make decisions on equipment usage to ensure high-quality finished products.

• General knowledge of complex bindery machines and their operating requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of set up, operating procedures, capabilities, and limitations of bindery machines.
• Ability to read and interpret written work orders and job specifications.
• Knowledge of quality and machining requirements of various coated and uncoated paper stocks.
• Skills in setting up and adjusting machines for finishing operations and refining adjustments for paper stock weight, color, machinability, and quality.
• Ability to use a range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain machine functional accuracy and operating conditions.

• Bindery Operator experience as a Folder Operator, with knowledge of bindery/finishing operations.
