Job Title: Reefer Trailer Mechanic

SST Direct is seeking a skilled Reefer Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Apopka, FL. As a direct hire opportunity, this position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanic to service and repair Dry Van trailers, Dump Trailers, Flatbed Trailers, Reefer Trailers, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trailer maintenance and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet and maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on trailers
  • Perform PM inspections and make necessary repairs on trailers
  • Troubleshoot ABS system and repair as needed
  • Disc and drum brake repairs on semi-trailers
  • Electrical work on lights and systems
  • Welding and light fabrication skills
  • Roll door repairs
  • Support and help shop foreman and team members
  • Other duties as directed
Qualifications:
  • Preferable own tools and tool box or be willing to purchase
  • Keep an organized and clean work area
  • Prompt and reliable employee
  • 1-2-year mechanic experience preferred but not required
  • Effective communicator and team player
  • Physical activities include: walking, being able to lift more than 20 lbs., twisting, turning, and climbing ladders
  • Able to pass a drug test
