Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

Join our team of dedicated professionals at Kaiser Permanente as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist. In this role, you will operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise will be essential in providing excellent patient care and contributing to the success of our Imaging & Radiology Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Apply measures to minimize radiation exposure.
  • File work, reception, and computer tasks, including PACs functions.
  • Administer contrast media as directed and follow established departmental directives.
  • Assist with screening patients for contraindications and participate in quality assurance functions.

Requirements:
  • Direct supervision and experience in operating CT scanners and radiographic equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and ALARA protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
