UMMC is currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our esteemed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

- The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team consists of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) who deliver comprehensive care for pediatric patients requiring critical interventions, including those recovering from cardiothoracic surgeries and transplants.
- The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will engage in diagnosing and managing patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of physicians.
- Continuity of care is a priority; the NP or PA will facilitate communication among healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
- In this role, the NP or PA will integrate current research and best practices into patient care.
Required Qualifications
- A Master of Science degree, with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. Current registration with the Maryland Board of Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the relevant specialty area. A minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience is mandatory.
- Physician Assistant candidates must have completed an accredited PA program and possess a Maryland PA license.
- CRNP Pediatric Acute Care certification is required.
