Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to support our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of medical facilities and providing high-quality patient services.

Main Responsibilities

1. Patient Care
Assist healthcare providers in performing various medical procedures and examinations. Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, and medical history accurately. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare providers. Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.

2. Administrative Duties
Greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow within the medical facility. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially. Handle patient inquiries, phone calls, and correspondence professionally and efficiently. Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare facilities as needed. Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring availability and proper functioning.

3. Clinical Support
Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care. Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis. Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment. Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other diagnostic tests as required. Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited institution. - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assisting program preferred. - Current CPR certification. - Proficiency in medical terminology, basic pharmacology, and clinical procedures. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy. - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs. - Compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards of healthcare practice.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
