Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Bradenton Plant. This role will be responsible for leading the Utilities Maintenance Team to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility's utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Utilities Maintenance Team to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facility's utility systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure equipment is maintained in a safe manner and redundant systems are kept at a ready state.
  • Monitor and utilize maintenance KPIs to set priorities and drive decision making.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of incidents, near misses, and breakdowns and implement corrective countermeasures.
  • Coordinate and support engineering efforts to improve system safety, reliability, and efficiency through capital improvements.
  • Utilize visual factory concepts to maximize asset utilization and plant performance.
  • Participate in leadership role within site Process Safety Management team as it relates to ammonia refrigeration maintenance.
  • Ensure proper utilization of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Provide training, coaching, and troubleshooting support for front-line employees and coordinate with external technical support when necessary.
  • Work with Manager, Utilities Operations Supervisor, plant operations, and front-line team to prioritize and manage tasks.
  • Monitor progress to plan and performance of front-line employees and drive decision making to deliver results.
Requirements:
  • Engineering Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
  • Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP) Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Power Plant, Ammonia Refrigeration, and Waste Water system maintenance preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with Process Safety Management preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite/Office applications.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills.
