Host/Anfitriona

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host/Anfitriona to join our team at Maiz y Agave Cocina Mexicana. As a Host/Anfitriona, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.

• Greets and seats customers in a friendly and efficient manner
• Takes customer orders and provides menu recommendations
• Upsells food and beverage items to increase sales
• Delivers food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
• Ensures customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area
• Collaborates with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order preparation
• Handles cash and processes payments using a POS system
• Utilizes OpenTable or similar software to manage reservations and seating arrangements

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a positive dining experience
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety procedures
• Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
• Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and payment handling
• Ability to upsell menu items to increase sales revenue
• Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
