Unit Attendant Job Description

Arbor Rose, a 62-apartment Assisted Living Facility in New Britain, CT, is seeking a Unit Attendant to join our team. As a progressive, nursing community, we prioritize resident-centered care and provide a supportive environment for our staff.

Job Summary

We are currently interviewing for Full and Part-time Unit Attendants to work on our Assisted Living neighborhoods. The successful candidate will perform non-clinical tasks related to resident care, including greeting and escorting residents, introducing them to their roommates and other residents, and making them comfortable. The Unit Attendant will also assist with transporting residents to appointments and activities, prepare residents for meals, and perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and escort residents to their rooms
  • Introduce residents to their roommates and other residents and personnel as appropriate
  • Make residents comfortable, including getting water and inventorying personal possessions
  • Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with resident-centered care and as instructed by supervisors
  • Answer call bells and alarms promptly and provide help for non-clinical requests
  • Assist with transporting residents to appointments and activities
  • Prepare residents for meals, including washing hands, combing hair, raising beds, and positioning tables
  • Other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse
