Key Responsibilities
The role entails physical activities such as prolonged sitting and standing, as well as the capability to lift and handle items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Delivering classroom, laboratory, and clinical training to designated students.
- Employing the institution's Curriculum Guide to structure instructional plans.
- Creating a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Designing, preparing, and executing instructional activities that promote active learning through various educational methods and community resources.
- Managing clinical placements in healthcare facilities and community clinics that align with course objectives.
- Introducing students to clinical environments and overseeing their healthcare experiences.
- Collaborating with clinical mentors as needed in community healthcare settings.
- Conducting debriefing sessions and post-clinical evaluations.
- Striving to meet the educational requirements of each student.
- Assessing student progress through diverse evaluation methods in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
- Maintaining precise records of student achievements and sharing relevant information with coordinators and faculty.
- Providing academic guidance and counseling to enhance educational development.
- Actively participating in the formulation, execution, and assessment of the nursing education program's philosophy and objectives.
- Engaging in the design, implementation, teaching, evaluation, and revision of the nursing curriculum.
- Assisting in the development and assessment of policies regarding nursing student admission, progression, retention, and graduation.
- Facilitating opportunities for student and graduate feedback on curriculum and program effectiveness.
- Participating in faculty meetings and serving on committees as required.
- Promoting the nursing profession by exemplifying professional standards.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
To meet the licensing criteria, candidates must possess a valid RN license and demonstrate a minimum of two years of full-time nursing experience within the last five years. A graduate from an accredited nursing program is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
