About the Role

Barnhart Crane and Rigging is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heavy equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on cranes, forklifts, tractor trailers, and other heavy equipment
  • Work effectively with operators and other mechanics to ensure smooth operation of equipment
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • CDL required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • Communication Skills
  • 5 Years' Crane Maintenance Experience
  • CDL Required
  • Must pass drug test, fit for duty physical
